Peter Thomson was born among the bluffs of the Driftless Region.
Hiking, biking, skiing, and paddling the local trials and waters, Peter has had the privilege to come close to the nature which has inspired his passions, values, and art.
Growing up in La Crosse, WI, Peter founded the Central Film Club, and partnered with the La Crosse Film Academy, fostering creativity and enabling filmmakers across the region. While studying for his Film BFA at UW-Milwaukee, he most recently founded the Driftless Film Collective, with the mission to elevate midwest storytellers and bring creatives together across the Driftless & Great Lakes Regions.
Peter has screened projects at the Madison Film Festival, Milwaukee International Short Film Festival, Create Wisconsin Day (Madison, WI), La Crosse 48hr Film Festival, and premiered his debut environmental short, 'Jed Olson: A Portrait Documentary,' at the La Crosse Adventure Film Festival.
